Supporting Dignity Homeless Services Australia
As part of our anniversary celebrations, we visited one of our long-standing charities of choice—Dignity Homeless Services Australia. The work that goes on behind the scenes at Dignity is nothing short of inspiring. Their mission is to provide safe, temporary accommodation and essential services to those experiencing homelessness, helping them regain independence and dignity.
Many people are surprised to learn the real statistics:
- Only 7% of homelessness involves rough sleeping.
- A staggering 93% are men, women, and children who are hidden from view—living in temporary, unstable, or unsafe conditions.
Without organisations like Dignity, far more families would face life on the streets. And because Dignity receives no government assistance, they rely on the generosity of individuals, businesses, and the broader community to continue their life-changing work.
Our Ongoing Partnership
Mitronics has been supporting Dignity for the past three years, providing donations of office equipment to all their premises. This helps their team operate efficiently, manage resources, and focus on delivering the services that matter most.
During our recent visit, we were given a guided tour by Suzanne Hopman and Sherin Fishwick, who offered valuable insights into how Dignity is transforming lives every day. From providing safe accommodation to offering essential supplies and emotional support, their work makes a profound difference in local communities.
